Unit 6

Hello all,

I have been studying and trying to do as well as possible in my classes. Anatomy and Physiology is a full time job just in itself with all the tests and the pace, I am just trying to keep up and do well on every test, so needless to say I am studying a lot.I am in Colorado right now for two weeks my niece just turned one yesterday and we are having a party for her on Saturday which will be a lot of fun and stressful as I need to make sure I spend enough time on my studies and papers, so it will be an adjustment for me, however one I think I can manage, she has to sleep right? LOL.

Also, writing two papers on two very different topics is very demanding as well, however I am learning things about these two subjects that I can take with me into the future in the medical field, as well as be able to give any information I know to anyone who needs it, or even just someone to talk to about autism, for instance.

I do however enjoy writing in this blog, it is a way to get some ideas out, or even just to communicate with my other classmates.

Unit 5 writing style

Hi all,

My personal writing process is to research as much about the subject I am writing about and then figure out what I information I have and what areas I need to have more information, this way seems to be the easiest way for me to write a paper that has enough information and is easy to read and follow.I am a person who loves to make lists and have a direction of how and what I need to accomplish to make my paper interesting and informative.

One academic challange that I feel I have is time management. I have always had a problem with this I seem to wait until the lasdt second to finish somethings, however I have been getting better at this as the time goes by. Somedays I feel I spend too much time on one thing for a class, such as studing for the many tests we have each week in Anatomy & Physiology 2, and I don't giove enough attention to my other class.

School has influenced me in so many ways, I have learned about things that I never would have even thought were possible a few years ago with work and life passing by so fast. It took me a while to admit that I should take some time for myself and that I could give up a little responsibility to someone else and that the world would not fall apart, or at least my world wouldn't.

The fact that you can do classes online has been a life saver for me, as well as many others I assume. There are days when ther is not enough time to get everything done at home and have time or energy to go to a classroom and sit for several hours.






Challanges that I have faced in academics woulfd have to be time management, I am terrible with this, however I have been getting better, I seem to wait until the last minute to finish things

Plagiarism unit 4

What I think about citing our sources is, that any person who has worked very hard for what they wrote deserves to have full credit for their work. Citing is very important to learn how to do it properly and make sure you always include the author and year after you use thier thoughts or ideas.

I would be very upset and hurt if someone used my ideas and did not give me a second thought, I also hope that most people would do their best to make sure that any information is correct and properly cited. In high school if you saw someone cheat on a test or on some homework some people may have thought that it was not a big deal, however I have thought back to those days and wished I would have spoken up when I had the chance.

In the professional world plagiarism issues are a very big deal, if you took an idea or thought from someone and put your name on it there could be big problems, such as losing your job, or ending up in court with a big fine. I used to work for a company that made welders and on the bottom of everyone is a paton where no other company could steal the information and make the same welder at a different company and sell it as their own idea or thought.

I believe that you tube or wikipedia do blur the lines on what is legally owned. In wikipedia everyone can add to a thought or idea and it does not have to be even true or accurate to be placed on there. I do not know much about you tube. however I believe that some of those videos are fake or altered.

Hello Everyone,

Some ideas I have for my topic Autism are medication and vaccinations. Should parents have the right to withhold vaccination in their children if they believe they are harmful? The other idea is medication are they helpful or harmful? What do you think?

I personally really enjoy the online experience, the fact that I can go online at anytime and work on my schedule the flexability is very helpful in they way that if you have a free day you can work ahead and make sure you have everything turned in on time and stay on course with your studies.

I feel our class is pretty close in the discussion boards and that we are there to help each other out when needed, and do not seem to mind if someone gives us advice on ways to make the discussion better.The blog is a unique way to learn more about each other good, bad, or ugly!! LOL
